Example of the restoration of an 18th-century chest of drawers, featuring fine veneers and intricate inlays.
The intervention included structural consolidation of the piece, hot gluing of the delicate veneers and inlays, and the restoration of the drawer guides to ensure smooth operation.
Additionally, the locks, keys, and escutcheons were repaired, while maintaining the original style.
The chest was carefully cleaned and polished using the traditional 18th-century "piumaccio" technique, and treated with specific products against woodworm to ensure long-term preservation.
Thanks to this meticulous restoration, the chest has regained its original splendor and is ready to enhance refined homes furnished with high-quality pieces.
